Royal Caribbean is a four-star cruise line that offers an American style of cruising. It is generally acknowledged that the standard of cruise is the same as offered by P&O Cruises.
The less formal American style of cruising on board Royal Caribbean ships means that you can cruise in a more relaxed environment compared to a more traditional cruise. There is fine dining available in the main dining room for instance for which you may wish to dress up for but that is entirely up to you. The less formal dress code means that you can be more relaxed and wear what you want.
There is a huge choice of dining options other than using the main dining room. Most ships offer options for casual dining, buffet style restaurants and in some cases speciality dining. There is even a kids dining programme to cater for children’s food requirements. Planning your day becomes a lot easier if you don’t have to plan it around meal times!
So what’s on board? Onboard entertainment is mostly free and there is a wide-range of things to keep you amused ranging from spectacular ice shows to stylish piano bars. There are clubs to dance the night away, cinemas, cocktail bars and wonderful stage shows and productions plus much more.
Facilities on Royal Caribbean ships include a full range of sporting facilities, fitness centres, spas and numerous swimming pools. There are even rock-climbing walls and ice rinks to keep those energetic ones amongst you happy.
American style cruises are more relaxed with a more casual approach. For those who like the freedom to create their own itineraries and dress how they want this type of cruise is ideal.
