Voyager of the Seas

With the introduction of the Voyager of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Cruises added even more innovation to the world of cruising. Namely the Boulevard! Most modern cruise ships have coffee houses and bars, however with Voyager of the Seas these were transformed into a street like scenario with three stories of cabins, all with windows facing down onto the Voyager of the Seas’ Boulevard.

Added to the Boulevard, was the ships size, at 138,000 tons they were the largest cruise ships in the world until the arrival of Cunard Queen Mary 2 and subsequently the Freedom class of ship including Independence of the Seas.

Voyager of the Seas is the first in her class; she was followed by Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas and Navigator of the Seas making a class of five wonderful and innovative cruise ships.

In 2007, Voyager of the Seas cruised out of Southampton during the summer, preceded by Legend of the Seas and replaced in 2008 by Independence of the Seas. This summer she will be operating out of Barcelona on a series of seven night cruises.

A cruise on any Royal Caribbean cruise ship is an experience and one on Voyager of the Seas is no different.
